Astrid Pingshaw

Astrid works on GAP’s mobile research unit, Taking Health on the Road (THOR), which travels throughout the state of Florida, serving and recruiting underserved populations alongside our GAP-Net research sites. On THOR, Astrid collects blood-based biomarker samples, provides dementia education and resources, and offers free community-based memory screenings. She is an experienced research coordinator who has overseen large-scale clinical trials, streamlining processes to boost productivity, and delivering first-rate service to thousands of diverse study participants. She is no stranger to working mobile and putting her medical skills in laboratory specimen collection, EKG’s, vaccinator and wellness educator to use in a non-traditional clinical setting. Astrid is bilingual (English and Spanish), is ACRP certified, has an AA degree from Daytona State College and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Project Management.
