As a public health professional with almost ten years of experience, Mikhaela joins the Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation as a Community Connector. She has worked in a variety of disciplines, ranging from qualitative research in cancer epidemiology to community-based engagement and support. She is committed to addressing health disparities and inequities and empowering communities in meaningful ways, and has conducted work aimed at providing equitable and sustainable education and assistance for underserved and underrepresented groups in emergency response settings, the infectious disease field, and the prostate cancer space, among other areas. Mikhaela holds a B.S. in Public Health and a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida, and is currently completing her Master’s in Public Health at the George Washington University. She is based in Florida.
