GAP-Net Site Optimization Conference 2019

More than 150 world-class researchers, CEOs, and other Alzheimer’s research experts will attend the GAP-Net Site Optimization Conference

The 2019 Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation (GAP) GAP-Net Site Optimization Conference will be held in Nashville, TN at the Nashville Marriot at Vanderbilt University from February 27 – March 1.

The conference will attract approximately 150 prominent principal investigators (PIs), CEOs and other Alzheimer’s research experts from the more than 70 GAP-Net clinical research centers working with the nonprofit GAP Foundation.

Conference speakers and attendees will explore the challenges facing Alzheimer’s clinical trials and the ways sites are working to improve recruitment of research volunteers, shorten trials’ duration, reduce their cost, and improve their efficacy.

Other sessions will include lectures, exercises, and breakout sessions on:

-Emerging diagnosis strategies

-Growing a super site

-Rater certification

-IRB requirements

And much more. There will also be a session on GAP’s Activ-8 Your Brain initiative promoting brain health, and the Citizen Scientist Awards, where sites will nominate clinical trials participants to be honored in an awards ceremony later this year.

We are thrilled to be gathering so much expertise and goodwill in once place. We know our GAP-Net sites will leave this conference more capable and determined than ever to end Alzheimer’s once and for all!
