Joshua Travis

Josh joined GAP with an extensive background in nonprofits such as Children’s Home & Aid, Youth Guidance, and the Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus. He is a skilled process facilitator and works with community leaders across the U.S. to develop and implement strategic, community centered programs. He serves on GAP’s Inclusive Research Infinitive (IRI) team, where Managers of Diversity and Community Outreach (Community Connectors) help to improve representation in clinical trials by providing support to GAP-Net sites throughout the US. This support includes and is not limited to recruitment strategy, AD awareness and education, community engagement, community mapping initiatives and building relationships with community partners that serve in underrepresented communities. Josh holds a Bachelors in Anthropology with minors in Biology and Criminal Justice from Illinois State University, a Masters in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University, and is currently seeking a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership at Governors State University.
