GAP Applauds New Women’s Health Research

We applaud First Lady Jill Biden and the White House Gender Policy Council on the first ever initiative on Women’s Health Research, with a focus on ‘engaging the scientific, private sector, and philanthropic communities’.

GAP is committed to ensuring that clinical research includes all people, and that includes ensuring that women are equally represented. We will eagerly keep an eye on the progress, and are encouraged to see that Alzheimer’s Disease was among the many priorities listed as the new effort is launched, as women are 2x more likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s than men.
