Emilio has shown exceptional dedication to advancing Alzheimer’s research through both personal involvement and community outreach. Since 2022, he has participated in three clinical trials, motivated by his experience as a caregiver to his father-in-law and supported by his family after noticing early cognitive changes in himself. He also serves on the Patient Advisory Board, offering insights that promote more patient-centered research. His advocacy extends to his own family, encouraging relatives to participate—his wife is now enrolled in a trial as well.
Through programs like Tu Salud Tu Familia, he shares his story to empower others, particularly within the Hispanic community. By speaking openly, he helps reduce stigma and build trust in clinical research. As he often says, “You are the most important thing for your family, this is the right thing.”
