Barbara is a retired school principal and literacy coach and consultant. She has an eye for details, and she started to notice behavior changes in her husband, Neil. Neil researched Alzheimer’s clinical trials and started seeing the CART team at Brigham and Women’s with Barbara as his study partner.
Barbara is incredibly comfortable speaking to anyone about the importance of participating in Alzheimer’s clinical trials. The daughter of a pharmacist, she is a positive and helpful advocate to have around. The Collins’ respect for science and medicine makes them walking examples for what clinical research can do for individuals and for others.
