Clarke Rick

A Combat Veteran during the Vietnam conflict, Clarke was also a successful business owner who retired 2 years ago after focusing on memory issues. He has given back to the community, building a Veterans Center in Tampa, and supporting peer on peer recovery programs to benefit Veterans of all ages who are struggling. The 12 Step format saved Clarke after many years of struggle with PTSD, alcohol abuse, and memories.

Beyond his commitment to give back to fellow Veterans, Clarke has a charitable spirit, and has given back to the research community, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association financially and educating many on Dementia & Alzheimer’s. Clarke even recently donated a winning bid of $6000 to have dinner with Dr. Steen as a way to ensure he supports the future of research. He has made the decision to not be fearful but being proactive in the community, not shying away from discussing memory issues when appropriate.

“I am very passionate about helping the community in any way I can, for both myself and others who are experiencing memory loss.”
