Lynne is a phenomenal human being—the word that best describes her is grace. Not long after she courageously completed treatment for cancer, her husband, John, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. They were newly retired and looking forward to the next chapter when he began experiencing difficulties.
Lynne and John chose to participate in research not for themselves, but for others. They wanted to help advance treatments—and ultimately a cure—for their children, grandchildren, and future generations. Through every setback and uncertainty, Lynne has met this journey with steady grace and optimism. She openly shares their experience with friends and the wider community, helping others understand the value of research and inspiring them to get involved.
As a lay minister in her church, she offers steady support to anyone who needs it—showing up with compassion, discretion, and practical help. She also volunteers widely, guided by a simple principle: if you have something to give, you give it.
