Axiom Brain Health
New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church became a valued community partner for Axiom Brain Health in November of 2024, representing an understudied and underesrved population in Alzheimer’s research and brain health initiatives. The church’s congregation showed strong interest in learning about cognitive health by attending the ACTI-V8 Your Brain presentation, with members receiving memory screenings through Axiom Brain Health. Recognizing the importance of brain health in the African American community, the church has invited Axiom back for another presentation and onsite screening in May 2025. Their partnership has also led to member involvement in a Phase 2 clinical trial, further expanding awareness of research participation.
New Mt. Zion Baptist Church has made brain health a priority in their ministry, supporting screenings as an essential part of medical care. They continue to promote cognitive wellness by including Axiom Brain Health in their Health and Wellness Fairs too, creating lasting impact in both their congregation and the broader community.
