Sandra Arslanian

Sandra’s commitment to helping find a cure for Alzheimer’s is driven by love, hope, and an incredible sense of purpose. Although she devotes nearly all of her time to caring for her husband, she has never viewed their journey as just a personal struggle. From the very beginning, Sandra has been determined to contribute to something greater by participating in research – not just for Andrew’s sake, but for all families facing this disease.

Even with a language barrier and no prior experience navigating the clinical research world, Sandra didn’t hesitate to seek out every available resource. She asked questions, educated herself, and took all the steps necessary to make sure Andrew could participate in the study. Her determination to overcome these obstacles is a reflection of how deeply she believes in the mission to find better treatments and ultimately, a cure.

“I joined a clinical trial because I believe in the hope and potential that research brings. Watching my spouse’s journey with Alzheimer’s disease has been incredibly challenging, but it’s also strengthened my belief that progress is possible. By participating in a clinical trial, we’re contributing to a future where people living with Alzheimer’s have better treatment options.

It gives us a chance to help others in the same situation, even if it means enduring some uncertainty now for the promise of a breakthrough later. Being involved feels like a way to keep fighting for my spouse, even when the disease seems to have the upper hand. It’s about doing everything I can to ensure that his story can help others and bring us closer to a cure.”
