Sherri worked as an early childhood educator which helped her to project a very caring persona. She also volunteers with an organization called “Helping Hands” that helps those less fortunate. Although she has had to modify her role there, due to changes in her cognitive ability, she has maintained a strong desire to volunteer, which spills over to her wish to be a volunteer in research. Sherri has been attending the Alzheimer’s Society young onset support group, for the past several months and has taken a leadership role to make people feel comfortable, opening up regarding her situation and journey navigating life with a neurocognitive disorder.
Sherri is a dedicated research participant, with a very open, approachable friendly personality that projects to those around her. She is always open to helping the clinic in any way possible. As a site, we hope to call upon her exuberance in the future, at an open house, to promote research.
