Cynthia Torres is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and Clinical Research Professional with over 17 years of patient care experience and more than 9 years supporting clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to joining GAP, she served as a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator and Research Nurse in both early-phase and late-phase studies. As a bilingual and bicultural Chicana, she brings a deep understanding of the cultural and linguistic needs of Hispanic and underserved communities in Southern California.
As part of GAP’s Mobile Research Unit (MRU) team, Cynthia leads community engagement efforts across Southern California and Arizona, focusing on delivering Alzheimer’s education, building relationships with local organizations, and encouraging clinical trial participation. She also performs pre-screening, consenting, and phlebotomy on board the MRU.
Cynthia is passionate about reducing barriers to research participation and empowering historically marginalized communities to take part in the future of Alzheimer’s care.
