Janay is a Manager, DIversity and Community Outreach for GAP, part of the team of Commuity Connectors. Janay came to GAP with over a decade of experience in nonprofits that focus on older adults and seniors, having worked at AARP (the American Association of Retired Persons) as a Project Manager for the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion where her work intersected legislative advocacy, business operations, communication, strategy, and community outreach. She was a supervisor at the Legal Counsel for the Elderly (LCE), where she developed and implemented innovative processes to integrate and strengthen LCE’s community presence and outreach strategies. Janay holds a Bachelors of Social Work from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, as well both a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Administration from Florida State Univeristy. Janay is based in Maryland.
